I'm R.C. I'm 25. I go to college in Honolulu.

I love movies (film references litter my everyday speak, I find it hard to communicate otherwise), writing (moleskines and 0.38mm pens are love), and some comicbooks (Scott Pilgrim and Harley Quinn dominate my perspective on narratives).

This blog is mainly for long-winded entries about my day, and photos taken with my Sony CyberShot.

    8 January 12
Every Saturday and Sunday, I work 8 hours on this boat! It’s pretty much the most awesome job ever. I’m a deckhand, but I work in the retail store. And sometimes I get to raise or lower the bridge when we’re next to the submarines. I haven’t been in the submarine yet, but I’m just super amazed at all the imagery I’m bombarded with during my job hours. I get to work on a boat, ya’ll! ON WAIKIKI!
When I first started working, I had never been on a boat before, so when everyone asked me, “Do you get seasick?” I’d honestly reply, “I don’t know.” The operations manager told me that 1/3 of the people who work on the boat end up leaving due to their seasickness. During my initial interview I was given a tour of the boat and I took Dramamine; my first day I took it again, but was amazed that I wasn’t feeling a little bit seasick. Turns out, I don’t get seasick at all! That’s news to me. :) Considering that I don’t play SkyRim because I get seasick and want to puke, it seriously surprised me when I walked off the boat still slightly rocking back and forth for comfort.
